Age Appropriate

Since the dawn of civilization adults have been ion the search of youth and children in the search for age and with fashion there has been an affordable opportunity for this search. But with that has come a problem. Adults are trying to dress more and more like their children and children dressing more and more like adults. Now to an extent this is necessary or else we would still be wearing overalls and socks with frilly lace. But some people take dressing a different age to the extreme. In today's blog we will describe how to dress age appropriate and what can go terribly wrong with dressing a different age.
Lets start off with the older generation. Now as you get older you try and fight harder and harder to keep your youth aging is inevitable, so for some they dress like their kids do when they should clearly not. If your children think its cute and would buy it then you shouldn't, if when you are shopping and all you see around you is people that could be your children or grandchildren high tail it out of there for your section. When you are in the baby boomer generation you should try to dress more conservatively. Opt for the crew neck tank top instead of the plunging v-neck, how about the three quarter length sleeve instead of the sleeveless. By dressing more conservatively and covering more up you are able to hide the effects of aging and can help fool people. http://womensfashion.suite101.com/article.cfm/how_to_dress_your_age
On the left is Kelly Rutherford dressing very age appropriate in a conservative fitting crew neck top a pair of more fitted jeans, not skinny jeans but not baggy jeans either. And an appropriate bag and trench coat. On the right is a dress worn by Paris Hilton, that is also being worn by Kris Jenner someone who is more than twice her age.

As we make our way down the age scale we come to college students. Now college students are caught in the middle they are either dressing like they are still in high school or an adult with a mortgage and kids. When it come dressing appropriately for college we need to start veering away from hoodies and ripped jeans. and more towards v-neck sweaters Jeans with no wholes, and rips, no more sneakers, but switch to a casual shoe. http://www.more.com/2013/8170-age-appropriate-clothes--is-your-closet

When it comes to the high school, middle school, and grade school clothing we start to see a very grey area. middle school kids are dressing like high schoolers, high schoolers are dressing like middles school kids, grade school kids try and dress like middle schoolers. It all starts to become a big old mess. for high schoolers they should try and maintain a youthful look you're
not going out into the business world nor are we
a helpful how to for the college bound girl. in 7th grade anymore. Jeans with some rips are perfectly acceptable but not jeans that are so ripped that you can tell what color your undergarments are. also ties and business clothes should be worn by your teachers not by you. stick with hoodies, polos, shirts, and every once in a while throw a nice sweater in the mix. For the middle schoolers, the bell bottom jeans, with skater jeans, and tighter than tight shirts must come to an end. We know tha you want to look skinny. but if you actually wore clothes your own size it would make you look skinnier that taking an already tight shirt and pull it together with a rubber band. wear pants that are straight legs, you can even start to wear skinny jeans. and for shoes try some slip ons, and flats you are about to go into high school. For the grade schoolers. you are like ten years old, enough of the tube tops, and halter tops, and pants that don't fit you and have the little frilly stitching in them. wear regular pants with no frills, how about t-shirts and dresses that go past your knees. http://www.gq.com/style/style-guy/miscellany/200202/high-school-stylish

above:What not to do for middle schoolers: wearing skirts that barely cover their waste let alone anything else. to the right: 18 and under should not be dressing like a yuppy your far from it.
